About Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood
Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood (Al Bastakiya) is the windtower quarter on Dubai Creek: museums, XVA, Arabian Tea House, and the Green Line station named Al Fahidi. Dubai Culture publishes museum hours; some houses close on different days.
Metro and abras
Al Fahidi Metro on the Green Line is the stop. Abras from Bur Dubai to Deira are a dirham-scale crossing of the Creek — cash/Nol rules follow current RTA notices. Gold Souk is the Deira side, not the same alleys.
How to walk it
Early morning beats tour groups. Modest dress. This is a living neighbourhood of galleries, not a theme park. Combine with the Creek abras and Al Seef only if you like a long waterfront walk in winter.
